I don’t think there are many warmer words in the English language than “home”. No two are alike but the word conjures up similar emotions in people from all over the world. In North America, most people live in homes that are really too large. We bought a small home with the idea we would move up in size within three years. Never happened. We did manage to raise two wonderful children who are both happily married and gone. Somehow, they survived the experience. The 30 foot pine on the front lawn was a three foot gift we planted the first week we moved in. Not many people in this transient world can say they stayed in the same house for over thirty years. We are lucky enough to be among the few who can.
