Some of the best shots aren’t planned they are just taken.

The trolly to Fisherman’s Wharf. This was as close to a San Franciscan trolly as we got. This was not one of the trollies that are famous for plying the steep hills of the city but it has the same “flavour”. Great place to visit.

This picture was taken during our last trip to California. Should the opportunity to visit the golden state ever present itself again, I think we will go to San Francisco and stay in the area. The weather is just fantastic.

It was pretty warm when I took this photo. We had just turned west from Highway 5 as we were making our way to Monterey. I’m surprised the photo turned out as clear as it is given I shot it out of the side window of the car while cruising on the highway. While it’s a nice house, the shadows and overall texture of the land is what caught my eye.

I must confess I have been slow to blog. I need to get back into the routine. I did manage to take this picture a couple of weeks ago. Sharon was given a bouquet of flowers in appreciation of all the work she did with the children’s play. They really were beautiful. I took the photo just the way the vase was situated on the kitchen table. We’re down to our last orange!
I also spent a little time outdoors this afternoon after our first real major snow fall of the year. We’ve also had record cold temperatures for this day even if you can’t tell it by the duck’s expressions. These guys need to be down south.

Love the West Coast. It’s quite a hike from Barrie, Ontario  and somewhat expensive but it’s still a great place to visit. I would like to ride a bicycle up the Pacific Highway someday but time, finances and the fact Sharon doesn’t share the same dream are all good reasons not to bother. That said, some of the scenery is breathtaking.

Sharon is forever saying there aren’t enough pictures of me so…  here I am mixing up the ingredients and learning how to make several types of Salsa sauce. They also gave Salsa dance lesson’s hence the excursion’s  name “Salsa and Salsa”. They put on a very good show as well as teaching us some of the basic steps in Mexican cuisine. Below is the real Chef in our household. As you can see in the background, the excursion was very popular.

The cruise ships must really boost the local economy where ever they tie up. I liked San Juan quite a bit. We didn’t rent a scooter there but we should have. I think we missed a fair amount of the island. It’s a pretty big place. What we did see was very pleasing to the eye. I’d go to San Juan again. It was that nice.
